Dr. Matthew C. Renner, O.D., FAAO
Optometric Physician
Dr. Matthew C. Renner is a dedicated and highly respected optometric physician with over 24 years of experience providing exceptional eye care to the Fort Smith region. A native of Nebraska, Dr. Renner completed both his undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of Nebraska.
He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2001. Following graduation, he furthered his clinical expertise through a hospital-based residency at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Memphis, where he received advanced training in ocular disease and primary eye care.
Dr. Renner is board certified by the American Board of Optometry and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), an honor recognizing his commitment to excellence in optometric practice, life long learning, and professional advancement.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Renner is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Fort Smith, reflecting his active involvement in community leadership and development.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Renner enjoys spending time in the outdoors and is an avid guitar player. He is a member of the River City Blues Society, combining his passion for music with community engagement.
Dr. Brooke Houser, OD
Optometric Physician
Dr. Brooke H. Houser is a compassionate and skilled optometric physician committed to delivering high-quality, personalized eye care with a special focus on ocular disease.
Originally from Texas, Dr. Houser completed her undergraduate studies at Baylor University with a degree in Neuroscience. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in 2018, where she was recognized with the Clinical Excellence Award and graduated with honors.
Following optometry school, she moved to Arkansas and completed a Primary Eye Care and Ocular Disease Residency at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, gaining advanced clinical experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of complex eye conditions. Since her residency, Dr. Houser has been proud to serve patients in the Fort Smith community.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Houser enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs. They love to travel, try new foods, and wind down together by working on puzzles.
